Jono Francisco


Hi there I am Jono Francisco Director of blag Public Relations. blag PR manages PR campaigns, publcity stunts, events, launches as well as shoots, shows and consults in the worlds of music, televison, film, fashion, entertainment and hospitality. Back as Director of blag PR after a year working for Couture Communications and Events as Event Producer and Publicist. In this role at Couture I created decor for 6 marquees in the Birdcage at the Melbourne Cup Carnival for the VRC, I have delivered a 1000 guest, sit down ball for Deloittes, that had a circus theme complete with fire shows, aerial artists, Zoe Badwi and the Black Dogs live and more, Launched Merchant Street in Melbourne's Docklands, procured hundreds of thousands of sponsorship dollars for the St Jerome's Laneway Festival and managed all their brand activation in 5 states, managed PR campaigns for Atlantic On Site catering and 6 Degrees Darker Espresso and produced the Dulux Colour Awards for 2009 just to name a few projects covering 2008/09. Prior to this and now in 2009 I am the Director of blag Public Relations, playing the roles of publicity director, event manager, fashion shoot producer and stylist, writer, club promoter, dance party creator, singer, and MC/personality. Through blag PR I produced major events and coordinated publicity campaigns for some local and international top fashion designers plus the Music industry, dance clubs and dance parties as well as many other businesses. I was the entertainment producer for Midsumma Carnival at Federation Square for 2005 and 2006 and Chapel Street Festival Chapel On Show the same years.

I have been throwing parties, coordinating events, styling, consulting celebrities and other businesses for many years now in London, Hong Kong , Shanghai, Sydney and Melbourne.

blag was based in Melbourne and I worked from Prahran. I have worked in music, fashion, film, television, clubs, hospitality and festivals and more.

I am a singer having performed with jazz outfits, dance music outfits and disco for many years performing at The Botanical, Robarta, Onesixone, The Palace, Wonderland, The Market, Midsumma Festival Openings at Federation Square, Midsumma Carnival's, Chasers, Chevron, Temple, The Metro, eve, 16 Ellis Street, Revolver and Festival Hall Red Raw dance party with Madison Avenue.

In 2005/2006 I created the Wonderland dance party events, I was head/creative host Saturday's at EVE, an exciting new club in South Melbourne which opened in June 2006 thern I moved to Boutique Saturday nights. blag currently represents new local fashion designer Josua Andreas, 6 Degrees Darker Espresso for Gravity and kids wear designer Zephire Generation. I raised much needed funds for my adopted charity PLWHA (People Living With HIV/AIDS) and had great success with the bowlathon clash of the clubs on May 28th 2006. I am planning a bigger fundraiser for PLWHA. Having worked on radio, television, live perfomance and MCing to tens of thousands of people I have had many great experiences in entertainment. I was a regular guest on Joy Melbourne with updates of whats on in Melbourne. I have created photo shoots for celebrites, music stars, fashion stories and advertising. Also producing major dance party shows and club performances and fashion shows, I have developed event management skills. I still work closley with Cheyne Coates from Madison Avenue, styling a video clip for her appearance on the new Soundbluntz Track "You Might Be Lucky". I also have worked with Anthony Callea and The Androids stlying music clips, CD covers and publicity shots.

I have also written for many magazines and styled photo stories for publications including Driven, Australian Style, Manifesto, Campaign, DNA, Fashion Journal, Rollingstone, Sanity, SainUnlimited, Orient Beauty Hong Kong, Large, Front Magazine London, Boy Toy London, Sin, Elle Licensing international advertising campaigns and more. I have also styled CD covers, stage shows and music videos for Madison Avenue back in the day for the internationally renouned dance act. Other music videos and photo stories for music stars such as Daniel Merriweather, L'Otel, top models and more.

A regular of the Melbourne party circuit and a whose who on the social scene, highly photographed, well connected and skilled in communciating in many forms from Fashion Shows, to music industry to film and television, dance parties to gala balls.
